How we handle personal data submitted through this website. Last updated 14 August 2026.

Who is responsible

Trade eXpansion (CVR 32161103), Denmark, is the data controller for personal data collected through this website. You can reach us at info@tradeexpansion.com or +45 42 56 95 10.

What we collect

We only collect what you actively submit through a form on this site:

  • Contact form: your name, work email, company, role (optional), the topic you select and your message.
  • Newsletter: your email address and which page you subscribed from.
  • TRX Opportunity Check™: your name, work email, company, and the answers and score from the assessment, so our written follow-up is specific to your situation.

We do not use advertising trackers or third-party marketing pixels, and we do not buy or enrich contact data about you from third parties.

We measure site traffic with Klyfa, an analytics platform we built and host ourselves. It records page views, time spent on a page, the external site you arrived from, and form submissions — against an identifier derived on our server from your IP address, user-agent and a rotating secret. No cookie is set and nothing is read from your device. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in knowing which of our pages are useful. This data is not shared with anyone and never leaves our infrastructure.

If you accept advertising cookies, we also load the LinkedIn Insight Tag, which lets us measure our LinkedIn advertising and show follow-up ads to people who have visited. Legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time from the cookie settings link in the footer. LinkedIn acts as an independent data controller for what it collects, which may involve transfer outside the EU/EEA under their standard contractual clauses. Decline and none of it loads. A Global Privacy Control signal counts as a decline. See our cookies page for the detail.

Why we use it, and on what basis

  • To answer your enquiry. Legal basis: your consent, and our legitimate interest in responding to someone who contacted us.
  • To send the newsletter. Legal basis: your consent. Every issue contains a one-click unsubscribe link.
  • To send your written assessment. Legal basis: your consent.
  • To measure and target our LinkedIn advertising. Legal basis: your consent, given through the cookie banner and withdrawable at any time.

We do not use your data for automated decision-making, and we do not sell or rent it to anyone.

Where it is stored

Submissions are stored in our own internal systems, hosted within the EU. Access is limited to the people at Trade eXpansion who need it to respond to you. The website itself is served as static files by our hosting provider, which processes standard server request logs on our behalf.

How long we keep it

  • Enquiries: for as long as the conversation is live, and up to 24 months afterwards so we have context if you come back to us.
  • Newsletter subscribers: until you unsubscribe.
  • Assessment results: up to 24 months.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable format. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time.

To exercise any of these, email info@tradeexpansion.com. We respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet), datatilsynet.dk.

Changes

If we change how we handle personal data, we will update this page and the date at the top of it.
